High Tea at Tiffin Room (Raffles Hotel)
[CLOSED] * This place has closed for renovation till around mid 2018*

I like the elegant ambiance and magnificent colonial grandeur - Colonial styled lights, white washed walls, high ceiling and wooden fans. The place was filled with foreigners and I felt I was not in Singapore. There was also a harpist playing beautiful music.
Within the silver 3 tier high tea set were sandwiches and little cakes / pastries, which was unfortunately a bit on the dry side.

At the buffet counter, there were few varieties of dim sum, fresh fruit, cakes and hot pastries.
Scone were available: plain, raisin, and cheddar spring onion. However, the scones lacked the buttery fragrance.

The Bread and Butter Pudding was unfortunately not impressive as well (picture on right).
The dim sum station consists of mini Char Siew Pau, Spinach Dumpling, Siew Mai and Crystal Dumpling. I have more helping of this station, since the dim sum are the ones that are savory and "moist" for that afternoon high tea. :)
Though the service was attentive and good, however the food was not impressive and we left disappointed. With the amount $58 spent, we would have expected more varieties and better food.
