Free & Easy Trip to Switzerland, Konstanz, Milan, Santorini
It has always been one of my dream vacation destinations - Santorini. We planned to go Switzerland and other several places prior to Santorini, so as to make this Europe trip more worthwhile.
Switzerland
Unfortunately we did not managed to find food that is suitable for our taste and we kind of lost a bit of weight by walking around and checking out Switzerland. We did a bit of research online and found this restaurant "Adler's Swiss Chuchi" which is supposedly well-known and popular for their cheese fondue.
However, we thought that the cheese is a bit salty for our taste, and it can be over cloying after a while since it is just cheese fondue with bread.
We got so hungry for good food that we decided to splurge and walk into a classy restaurant demanding for their last 4 lobsters in the tank. It costs 130 CHF (approx. $180 SGD) each, yes - hunger for good food can lead to craziness. The waiter looked kind of stunned too. They served half lobster at a time (twice), however the taste cannot be compared to our vivid memories of delectable lobster from Lobster & Burger in London. :(
Subsequently, we settled our meals mainly with pizzas, pasta or fast food.

Lion Monument or Lion of Lucerne
It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris.

Konstanz, Germany
We dropped by Konstanz for a day trip. This place triggered our appetite for good food with their tender roast pork leg and yummy desserts and coffee. Finally, our food sense is awakened!
Milan, Italy
We also went Milan for a shopping day trip. It seemed to be a wrong decision to go on weekends and it was very crowded.
Santorini
Finally our dream vacation spot! My sister-in-law recommended me the suite that she stayed - Canvas Suite at Oia Santorini, and we decided to stay at the same place. It offers suites with different themes and we decided to try a different theme (Artemis Suite, Earth Suite) each night. The suite can be shared between 2-6 people.
The suites are beautiful. It is quite conveniently located quite near the top. If you are staying at Oia, please choose to stay a hotel/ suite that is near the top otherwise you have to climb the huge flight of stairs up and down everyday.
We easily found good cafes and food in Santorini. Really miss this heavenly place!
