Take a Step into Hongkong via CHA CHAAN TENG at Tai Cheong Bakery - Holland Village.
There have been mixed reviews on the egg tarts from Tai Cheong Bakery. However, my friends and I love the Tai Cheong egg tarts as compared to most other cafes/shops. My favorites to-date have been Tong Heng and Tai Cheong.

The crust is fragrant and buttery filled with smooth, wobbly custard and it has just the right amount of sweetness. It costs $1.90 and allows maximum dine-in order of 2 per person.
If you want something savory, my recommendation would be the Scrambled Egg Toast Stack with Chicken Chop ($9.50). The egg is fluffy and silky and goes well with the white toast and crispy grilled chicken chop. It comes mushroom cream sauce at the bottom.

If you want something lighter, you can try the Scrambled Egg Toast Stack ($6.50) with the same fluffy silky scrambled egg.

Besides the toasts, we also tried the Three Coloured Silky Eggs with Rice – Roasted Pork and Crispy Prawns/ Pork Belly. However, we find this dish so-so. I would probably give this dish a miss for my subsequent trips.

The decor in Tai Cheong - Holland makes you feel that you have been transported to Hongkong. If you have yearning for Hongkong Milk tea (S2.50/$2.80 hot/cold) and egg tart, you can make your way to Tai Cheong - Holland Village without having to travel to Hongkong.
